Day 6

Our guesthouse's exterior

We had brunch at the cafe next door, 2 floor cafe, my favourite cafe out of all we visited

Brunch was served so prettily.

Even the restrooms are nicely decorated!

After brunch, we went to the Namsangol Hanok Village at the nearby Chungmuro.

After Namsangol Hanok Village, we went back to Dongdaemun to walk around somemore, and had tea break at the top floor of Migliore. The rice cakes in any Korean place are much chewier here than back in Singapore, it's quite addictive!

Went back to Myeongdong area a little earlier to go up Namsan before sunset. To get to Namsan Park, we had to take the cable car up and the cable car station was not too far away from our guesthouse, about 5-10 minutes walk uphill (the guesthouse was situated somewhere along a slight hill up from the Myeongdong station exit). Along the way, there were a lot of cute cafes and restaurants. I swear if caffeine wasn't a problem at 6pm in the evening, I would have popped into everyone of them.

The cable car takes us up to the Namsan Park, a short 3 minutes ride up - though it seemed like an eternity with little ventilation in the summer heat and sweat.

There were all these "trees" up there - "trees" of locks. A lot of couples go up there and lock their "lock of love" together. Cheesy if you ask me.

We didnt go up the N Seoul Tower because it seemed pretty hazy that night and we figured, there's not much to see anyways.

A view like this from Namsan Park was good enough for us.

After Namsan, we walked back downhill to Myeongdong AGAIN. Dinner was at this mandu place that was surprisingly very good! I mean, it better be, considering that they only have FOUR items on their menu and the four items all cost the same.

The first and most popular dish - the mandu. It's just like xiaolongbao, except it's meatier, and there's no soup/broth inside the mandu. The skin is really thin and the meat was soft.

The other dish we ordered was the noodle, served with gyozas.

Cant really remember what the other two dishes on the menu were - vague memory of some spicy noodle thing. BUT, yeah, order the mandu. I'll eat it the next time i go back.
