Day 4

Early lunch : a traditional Korean meal - the sort where they serve u lots and lots of small dishes. We even had to reserve this in advance. We came to this place upon recommendation by our Korean hair stylist.

They've got different set menus, ranging from the basic 19,000KRW (which was what we ate) to the luxurious 78,000KRW.

Such a feast!

After lunch, we went to Insadong area to walk around, a wall mural in the Insadong station.

The Insadong area was littered with cute boutiques and shops.

We were searching for the unique Ssamziegil, designed in such a way by connecting its charming alleys in the form of a spiral-like stairway.

After exploring Ssamziegil, we went to a nearby A Twosome Place, a cafe that serves the most delicious cakes... drool... They have two branches at the Incheon airport as well.

We ordered some tiramisu chiffon cake and raspberry chocolate ganache thing, plus a green tea latte and yuzu frappe. The chiffon was the best I've eaten and I think my mind has been kidnapped by yuzu! I super love the refreshing and subtlety of yuzu.

We back to the guesthouse, chillax a little, and went out to Dongdaemun to shop. Dongdaemun is like this shopper's heaven come alive almost 24/7. There's Migliore, Doota, Yes APM and the Dongdaemun market, out which we only covered Migliore and a little of Doota. Migliore reminds me a little of BKK's Platinum Mall, where there're a lot of small shops and you can bargain prices. Doota is a little bit more up-market, with its individual boutigues, something like Orchard Central. The malls open from 1030am and close at 5am. Yes, you read it right - they're only closed for like 5 hours. So basically, they're open 19 hours a day. How cool is that!
